What year level are these workshops for?

Year 11 students who are looking to achieve their best result to be considered for Early Entry applications in Year 12. Year 12 students preparing for their HSC Trial exams who want an edge over the other 77,000 students sitting these exams

Where are the workshops conducted?

Our workshops are held on-campus during the July School Holidays: Week 1 - Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July at the University of Sydney. Week 2 - Monday 13th July to Friday 17th July at Macquarie University .

How long is each session?

Each workshop runs for 2 hours. Sessions are scheduled from 10am–12pm and 1pm–3pm.

Can students register for more than one subject?

Absolutely! Students are welcome to register for multiple subjects across our workshop program to maximize their learning experience.

Who leads the workshops?

Our workshops are led by highly experienced HSC teachers and markers, each with over 15 years of expertise in teaching and exam marking.

What should students bring to the workshops?

Students should bring a pen, paper, a laptop, and any questions they’d like answered. Come prepared to make the most of your session!

Year 11 English Essay Writing Skills

This workshop strengthens students’ ability to write clear, analytical essays on substantial literary texts studied in Year 11.

Students learn how to move beyond basic retelling and develop informed personal interpretations of a text as a whole. The session focuses on analysing how meaning is shaped through construction, content and language, and how to support arguments with precise textual evidence.

Students also learn how to integrate context and critical perspectives into their responses, while forming their own reasoned judgements. The result is more structured, analytical and confident essay writing aligned with senior assessment expectations.
